K4—5th Grade Religious Education

The goal of Our Lady of the Lake Religious Education is to give young children the basics of the Catholic faith so they can grow with God in their daily lives.

Vacation Bible School

This is a special 5-day program that is run each summer for K4-5th Graders. Junior and Senior High catechists help lead various activities during the week.

Junior High (6th—8th) Faith Formation

The goal of Our Lady of the Lake Junior High Faith Formation is to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person. We do this while enjoying fun activities together. Specifically, we focus on four areas of Faith Formation:

· Faith Experiences

· Community Building Activities

· Outreach

· Weekly Jr. High Faith Formation Nights (Faith Sharing Groups)

Senior High (9th—12th Grade) Youth Ministry

The primary focus of Our Lady of the Lake Senior High Youth Ministry is to create an atmosphere that allows our adolescents an opportunity to remain connected to their faith, experience parish and community service opportunities, address the social and psychological concerns of adolescence from a Catholic perspective, and to provide this experience in an environment that is interactive and enjoyable for all present. This is done through the following activities:

· Weekly Sr. High Youth Ministry Nights

· Parish and Community Service Projects

· Teen Mass

· Prayer Services

· National Catholic Youth Conferences

· Retreats

· Diocesan Youth Conferences

· Lock-ins

· Social Outings

· Team Sport Events

Adult Faith Formation

Catholic Adults require continuing education as they journey through earthly life toward God’s kingdom. Baptized Catholics can enhance their understanding of the Liturgy, the Sacraments, Principles of Faith, the Old Testament and the New Testament through a variety of experiences:

· Adult Faith Formation (Sunday evenings 6:15 p.m.—7:30 p.m.)

· Adult Bible Study (Sunday Mornings 9:00 a.m.—10:15 a.m.)

· Missions

· Retreats

· Neighborhood Study Groups

For those inquiring about the Catholic Faith we offer a special program known as “RCIA” which explains key tenets of the Catholic Faith and prepares candidates for admission into the Church. The program starts in September of each year and concludes during a special service on Easter Saturday evening.
